My Story
At the age of 29, I lost my husband and father of my 3- and 6-year-old daughters to cancer. He had a small life insurance policy but that didn't get me too far. I made a few financial mistakes along the way that put me in a financial tailspin. I figured out different ways to make it financially but none of those were easy.
Fast forward 18 years..... I lost another husband to a stroke/brain bleed. We had no preparation. We were newly married, and nothing was in my name. I was in trouble..... I sold the place that he owned and bought my own house. It took everything that I made on the sale of the house. I was so proud but also knew that it was going to stretch me financially. That's when I started on my Legacy Builders 2.0 journey.
